Residents

Our resident meal plan is designed to meet the unique needs of students living in our traditional resident halls, who are required to purchase a meal plan. The dining plan comes with unlimited meal swipes to be used primarily in the culinary centers, and Flex Dollars, which is a declining balance account similar to a debit card. Flex Dollars are accepted at all retail locations including Saxbys.

Commuters

Our commuter plans are only available to students who do not live on campus. Our commuter plans are value oriented and designed specifically for our students who may not spend as much time on campus as the resident students. Commuter plans come with meal swipes, Bonus Dollars and the meal exchange option.

Faculty & Staff

Our Faculty & Staff plans come with meal swipes to be used in the Dining Hall and Bonus Dollars to be used in our many retail dining locations.

Convenience Items

Convenience items are part of the student meal plan during the academic year and are designed for students on the go who are pressed for time to eat in the culinary centers due to back-to-back classes. Limited breakfast items and lunch items — assorted salads and sandwiches — are available while classes are in session, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm, and until 4:00pm at the Leaky Beaker. Convenience items are not available during holidays, Tanner, Ruhlman, winter session, or spring break. Convenience items end on the last day of classes each fall and spring semester.

FAQs

  • Is Claflin bakery nut-sensitive?

    Yes, Claflin Bakery does not use nuts in the baking process of any items

  • Is Tower Culinary Center Halal?

    Tower culinary center serves halal chicken and halal beef.  Items containing pork and alcohol are not served at Tower

  • Is kosher dining available on campus?

    Yes.  Stone Davis is a kosher/vegan/vegetarian culinary center.  Meat and seafood items are not served at Stone Davis

  • Is gluten free dining available on campus?

    The culinary centers do not offer gluten free dining.  Gluten sensitive (GS) options are available.  GS are items that are made without the use of products containing gluten and are identified as GS on menu signage.

  • What is the Bates Gluten Sensitive Room?

    Bates Culinary Center offers a Gluten Sensitive Room for students with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity, with prior approval*. The space provides hot meals during meal periods along with ingredients for gluten-sensitive meals and snacks to support a safe, inclusive dining experience.


     *Access to the Gluten Sensitive Room requires approval through Wellesley College Accessibility and Disability Resources and completion of a training session with the Wellesley Fresh Dietitian. For more information, contact accessibility@wellesley.edu

  • How do I find information regarding dining and menus?

    Please visit the "Where to Eat" page to view dining locations, menus and hours. 


  • Where do I pick up my OZZI container and is there a replacement charge?

    Each first-year student receives a complimentary OZZI container. See the cashier on the 4th floor of Lulu and be sure to bring your OneCard! After using it, return your used container to the OZZI machine located at Lulu, Bates or Tower for a coin to exchange for a clean container. Please be sure to empty the container of debris before returning it for a coin.  Misplaced your OZZI or coin?  A replacement container is available for $7.00 per container.

  • What are my vegan/vegetarian options on campus?

    Stone Davis is your dedicated kosher/vegan/vegetarian culinary center.  Bates, Lulu and Tower also offer options.

  • What dining options are available in-between meal period

  • Is late night dining available?

    Yes.  Late night is available during the academic year Sunday-Saturday 8:00pm-10:00pm, Lulu 4th floor.  There are PICO coolers avaiable at the Clapp Library accepting points and credit cards.   • What’s the difference between Flex Dollars and points?

    Flex Dollars are included as part of your meal plan.  They roll over fall to spring semester and expire at the end of each academic year.  Points are not part of the meal plan and may be purchased at Bae Pao Lu, Collins Café, Emporium or the Leaky Beaker.  10% is added to total purchase points.  Points are redeemable at all retail locations, including Saxbys and Lulu 4th floor dining.

  • How can I provide feedback regarding dining?

    Loved an item, looking for an item, or sad about an item you had — let us know! We value your feedback, as it helps us provide a wonderful culinary experience. Text us at 781-886-7700. In addition, be sure to take the dining survey each fall and spring semester!

  • How many guest meals do I have and what is the process for bringing a guest?

    Each semester a student receives 8 guest meals. Guest meals do not roll over. At Lulu, present your OneCard to the cashier for a guest meal swipe. At Bates, Stone Davis and Tower, sign in using the dedicated guest meal book.

  • How many faculty guest meals do I receive per year?

    Students receive two faculty passes per year. They are separate from guest meals and expire at the end of the academic year. Faculty passes are only redeemable at Lulu, 4th floor. Present your OneCard to the cashier and let them know you are using a faculty pass.

  • What do I do if I have food allergies?

    The first step is to reach out to ADR (Accessibility & Disability Resources) at accessibility@wellesley.edu.

  • What do I do if I am not feeling well?

    If you are not feeling well, students are encouraged to reach out to health services for diagnosis.

  • Are sick meals available?

    In the event you are not feeling well, feel free to use your OZZI container to make a meal to go.  We also suggest asking a friend for help!!
